Career Highlights:

I'm fortunate to be in my fourth year as a middle school administrator. Being somewhat new to the field, I would say that a career highlight to date has been joining the Educational Leadership programs here at Fitchburg State University. I've met many talented professionals and have learned so much from them.

    It's my hope that students take away meaningful information that they can put in to practice. I also hope that they make meaningful connections with one another in an effort to build their professional network.

  • What qualities make someone particularly successful in education?

    It's important for educators to be focused on doing what is best for students. I think that our field requires hard work, flexibility, and optimism!

  • Why did you start teaching?

    I enjoy the opportunity to connect with students and share my experiences with them. I really appreciate working alongside dedicated professionals who want to continuously improve their practice.

  • What advice would you give to your online students?

    Stay organized and plan ahead! Seven-week classes go by incredibly quickly.

  • What is the one book you think everyone should read?

    “Where the Crawdads Sing” by Delia Owens.

  • Tell us something your students may not know about you:

    I'm a runner and have completed two marathons and about a dozen half marathons. My favorite distance is the 13.1! I'd love to qualify for the Boston Marathon one day.

  • What do you do when you need a laugh?

    Hang out with my kids!
