I am currently employed by FSU as an Adjunct Instructor of Business Administration. Previously I was employed for 35 years in the field of Warehousing and Distribution and most recently as Distribution Facility Manager for Columbia Tech, a contract manufacturing company in Worcester and Westboro, Massachusetts. My priority is to provide each of my students with a quality learning experience.
Which classes do you teach online?
Human Resource Management, Principles of Management, and Production Management.
What do you want your students to take away from class?
Practical use of the principles and applications learned in each course for their professional advancement.
What advice would you give to your online students?
In almost everything you do, either personally of professionally, you get out of it what you put in. There is no substitute for hard work. Surround yourself with good people that compliment your strengths and weaknesses and listen to the people who do the job.
What is the one book you think everyone should read?
One Nation by Dr. Ben Carson.
What qualities make someone particularly successful in business?
Common sense and treating others as you would want to be treated. And remember that you can never over-communicate.
What do you do when you need a laugh?
Time with grandsons.
